The Seaweed Shack is a socioecological enterprise promoting community-supported aquaculture as a tool for both food production and ecological restoration. The Shack is run by Fred, an international project consultant and social entrepreneur. The short-term goal is a feasibility study and small-scale pilot project. The long-term goal is to establish a scalable, polycultural marine hatchery and coastal farming system which benefits local communities socially, economically and environmentally.
